Sounds familiar – my old employer had all our servers named after man-made disasters. Chernobyl, ThreeMile, Valdez, Congress, Pruit-Igoe, HyattKC… not sure if we had a Hindenburg, definitely didn’t have a TacomaNarrows.

Oh, it’s deliberate. We named all the OSGrid servers last night – Chenobyl is the oldest, followed by Titanic, TacomaNarrows and Hindenburg is the new one.

The basis is “we know this isn’t stable, so we’re damn well going to advertise this.”
